Rainy
Ramey
Rainy Ramey is the creation of Ramey Caulkins who perceived there to be a lack of fun, casual, fashionable, practical women’s raincoats available.
Born and raised in Buffalo, NY, Caulkins was inspired to create the Rainy Ramey after 8 years of work in the interior design business. Acknowledging that the product offering in rainwear was seemingly limited to banana yellow rain slickers and boring trench coats, Caulkins set out to determine if outdoor fabric was actually wearable. In collaboration with Peter Fasano textiles and Sister Parish fabrics, Rainy Ramey was born. Rainy Ramey raincoats are made from silk-screen printed, solution-dyed, acrylic fabric. Caulkins worked with Fasano to develop a fabric ground that was both wearable and functional.
Caulkins lives in Denver, Colorado and Dark Harbor, Maine with her husband Max and baby boy Hayden.
